The freedoms we enjoy in the United States come with vulnerabilities. Our citizens and foreign visitors are free to travel and explore the many wonders of our country without restrictions.
Unfortunately there are some who take advantage of those liberties, and attempt to violate protected areas with nefarious intent. While we preserve free access for the majority, we must do more to prevent others from doing harm to our national security. The stakes are high, and the time to do more is now. Thankfully, we have access to groundbreaking technology which allows us to do just this.
The men and women on the front lines protecting our country are often faced with challenging decisions when permitting or denying access to certain areas. It is imperative that we enable those who are trusted to protect our country with the ability to get to trust, faster, when making the critical determination whether to allow access - across our borders, into our ports of entry, or through the gates of our sensitive installations and military bases.
We've seen a disturbing rise in unauthorized attempts to breach military installations around the globe.
Two such incidents which made national news occurred in Virginia and California, and we know from reporting that the frequency of such occurrences is on the rise. One particularly troubling episode took place recently at Fort Liberty, NCwhen a suspected foreign intruder was confronted by an active duty servicemember and killed. While the public sees some of these events on the news and in the press, there are many others that don’t reach the headlines.
The personnel charged with guarding our bases are well-trained and possess an array of tools to prevent unauthorized entry of persons and vehicles. What they often don’t have is ready access to the latest and currently available cutting-edge risk analytics technology. When applied at scale, this technology can help improve decision-making speed with near real-time risk data, while also creating a better experience for law-abiding citizens. This also allows our security professionals to more quickly clear those who are low risk while focusing additional time and resources on those who truly warrant more thorough scrutiny.
Clearspeed continues to evolve our voice-based risk assessment solutions to augment the human intelligence that already exists with fast, highly accurate, and unbiased risk insights. The technology has shown favorable outcomes in military and government critical use cases thus far with massive opportunities to scale. As we navigate advancements in insider and security threats, there’s an abundance of opportunity to expand our support for service members in capacities that enhance existing processes and human acumen.
